Over a span of thirty years, marine life artist Wyland captured the imagination of people everywhere by completing one hundred monumental marine life murals around the world, including his greatest masterpiece, a sprawling five-acre mural, entitled, “Planet Ocean.” The mural, painted during the LA riots on the side and roof of Long Beach Sports Arena, was named the biggest painting on Earth by the Guinness Book of World Records. Wyland Foundation President Steve will share a visual retrospective of Wyland’s astonishing public art campaign and how the artist and his foundation are leading a movement to use the power of art and creativity to inspire millions of people to become stewards of our ocean. Steve is a co-author and collaborator with Wyland on projects and installations around the world, including two projects for the Beijing and Vancouver Olympics, and is the chief architect of numerous national marine conservation programs for the Wyland Foundation
