Founded in 2014, OrcaTorch was born from a simple belief: divers deserve lighting they can truly rely on.
In 2013, during his first dive trip to Thailand, our founder Carson Weng — an experienced high-end flashlight manufacturer and outdoor enthusiast — noticed that many divers were using low-quality dive lights that lacked innovation and, more importantly, reliability. Some lights failed at critical moments. That experience left a strong impression on him. He realized that dive lighting should never be an afterthought — it should be dependable, purpose-built equipment.
Determined to raise the standard, Carson combined his expertise in advanced flashlight manufacturing with real-world diving needs, and OrcaTorch was established.
