Reef Check: Empowering Divers to Protect the Ocean

Reef Check Foundation is an international non-profit organization working to protect tropical coral reefs and California rocky reefs through education, research and conservation. Reef Check trains hundreds of volunteer divers to become citizen scientists that survey coral and rocky reefs every year. The data is used to improve the management and conservation of our marine habitats, and our citizen scientists become ocean ambassadors that lead their communities to care for their ocean resources.
