The DAN Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) program has been used by a diverse range of dive operations, beginning in South Africa in 2011 and expanding through Europe, Southern Africa, Asia and most recently the Americas. A review of elements revealed during the past seven years highlights the need for careful consideration of the real, everyday risks that dive businesses and professionals face.
